Honey Soy Sticky Wings Recipe

1 kg chicken wings, separated into wings and flats

1/2 cup light soy sauce

1 Tbsp honey

2 garlic cloves, grated

1 tsp sesame oil

pinch of dried chilli flakes

3 Tbsp honey, for basting

1 Tbsp sesame seeds

Combine the ingredients for the marinade and pour over the chicken wings. Marinate for at least 1 hour.

Preheat oven to 200ºC. Drain off the excess marinade and place the wings on a lined roasting tray, skin side up.

Bake for 20 minutes, turning over halfway through.

After 20 minutes, take them out and brush all over with the extra honey and flip them over so they’re skin side up again. Sprinkle with the sesame seeds and bake for another 10 minutes. Keep an eye on them; if your oven runs hot and the wings look like they’re getting a little too tanned, you can take them out a few minutes early.

Cool for 5 minutes or so before attacking with gusto!
